How to apply?
- Obtain a student internship application from Internship coordinator or a printable copy from the internship website: http://cosinternship.net >STUDENTS >APPLICATION.
- Students must complete an Internship application. This application needs to be filled out completely and returned to Internship office at Kern 713 f. You may also return the application to

Along with the completed application; the student will need to provide a current professional resume. Please note on the application if there is a specific job number that you are interested in.
- Once the application is received, a time will be scheduled for you to meet with the internship coordinator.
- Students must obtain 2 COS instructor recommendations. Once you submit your application you may gather your required instructor recommendations and submit to the internship office.
- Students will be required to have a signed code of conduct form on file with the internship office.
- Must have a GPA of 2.5 in order to be eligible for an internship through the COS internship program.
If you are granted an interview:
1. Go to the interview prepared. Research the company. Know the description of the internship position.
2. Be prepared for an interview. Be prepared to market yourself – why are you the best candidate for this internship position.
3. Arrive on time and dress professionally. Be sure to know where you are going prior to the interview so that you will not arrive late. Take extra copies of your resume.
4. Before you leave the interview, be sure that you fully understand the internship duties and responsibilities.
5. Ask the interviewer when they plan to make a selection and how you will be contacted.
6. Contact the internship office as soon as you have accepted an internship offer.
